When the rain went away

So I’m yet to tell you that the plasterers have finally made it back to render the outside of the casa. As you’ll know from an earlier post, much work has been carried out at Number 18 to alter openings and lift windows to accommodate kitchen and bathroom units. All of the alterations have left rather ugly gaps in the render. The plasterers finished the inside of the house, and then the rain set in before the outside could be tackled. As soon as we had a dry spell, we got the plasters back to get the outside finished. I know you can tell where the old render ends and the new begins, but we’ll be getting our paint on come the spring to hide all the join lines. We’ll be painting the render an off-white colour and saying tatty-bye to the miserable grey. I’m hoping the outside will look a lot fresher.
