Floors – Part III

Very little work took place over the Christmas period, but in all honesty it was nice to have a break. Even if it was a small one! The beginning of 2014 saw the plumber starting. Within a few days the underfloor heating pipe work had been laid and connected up to the manifold. We spray painted the layout of the kitchen, utility and shower room units on the floor, for the pipes to be laid around the lines. We also had CAD drawings which provided the measurements of each loop of pipe for each zone – each room works independently of each other. I’ve included the CAD drawing below, as it shows the floor plan of the downstairs of the house. The system was then pressure tested and we had the all clear to lay the screed on top. The to do list is slowly decreasing! Hoorah!
